Item Description
13.25x17.25x3" deep box contains complete set as issued by Marx. 1936. Set consists of fourteen 10" long tin litho track sections (12 curved, 2 straight), two 12" bridge sections and two 4.25" long wind-up tin litho racers ("Ace" and "Bluestreak") w/quick release clips on backs. Additionally, set comes w/three 4" long wind-up tin litho racers of same style w/o quick release clips. These additional racers ("Ace, Comet" and "Arrow") were sold separately and were designed for use w/this and other Marx sets. All racers are working. Scattered wear w/tiny paint nicks/scratches. Fine overall. Bridge sections have city scenes and show cars, people and businesses. These and the other track sections show wear from use and are Fine overall. Set comes w/original plain cardboard boxes for housing racers and small envelope w/three original keys for racers. Box lid has one corner split w/other three having tape repairs and has heavy dust soiling. Box bottom is free of splits and is complete w/all issued cardboard inserts. VG/Fine. Great Marx set.
