Item Description
Reverse has fold out easel and bar pin. Cardboard back is missing a small semi-circle of cardboard and a second semi-circle has surface paper missing. Neither defect interferes with either the pin or use of the easel. Curl text reads “A-13 Crocodile ‘By David Levine (c) 1963-64-65-66 New York Review.’” Many of his wonderful political cartoons were done in a smaller button size and some in this larger 6” size. This one is notably scarce. The acetate on these larger buttons was particularly thin and subject to wear. This piece shows some wear but it is minimal. At lower left is a .25” dia. faint spot with a tiny nick at the center. Acetate has about a dozen other tiny pinpoint rub marks but overall condition is Fine.
