Item Description
1.5" with name of maker Cruver on covered tin back and name of jobber on curl "Houston Stamp & Stencil Co. Inc., Houston, TX." Reads "National Democratic Convention Houston Texas June 26, 1928." Elephant sits chained to a dome of land with agitated teapot on it's peak as donkey kicks elephant's rear end. A foreground cactus symbolizes the convention's Texas location. Only the second we've offered and the first in Auction #194, in lesser condition, realized $1,725.00. Rare and NM displaying Mint.
