Item Description
8.5x11" aged sheet of lined notebook paper has original pencil sketch of The Ice Cream Kid, the cartoon mascot for The Grateful Dead. Inspired by cartoons, Mouse and Alton Kelley created the image for The Grateful Dead's 1972 European Tour. The enigmatic design is widely recognized but not completely understood. The Kid holds an ice cream cone w/his pinky finger extended while wearing his checkered shirt. Mouse has penciled "Moment Of Truth - 'First Front View' '96" above his distinctive signature at lower right. Sheet has some age spots at left, none greatly impacting art, which remains VF. Comes w/three of Mouse's personal business cards, which feature The Ice Cream Kid, printed signature and skull w/rose (this one has been hand-signed in pencil by Mouse). All are NM.
