Item Description
15/16” with one side of the brass frame reading “For President 1872” with opposite side reading “For Vice President 1872.” A small brass loop is off the top edge of the piece but the brass frame retains almost all its bright luster. The Greeley ferro is quite dark but his image is still there and with the name below “Horace Greeley.” On the reverse the portrait of Brown is extremely clear and this has the name below “Benj. Gratz Brown.” The emulsion on each ferro is 99% free of any wear. Item has a Hake 2004 guide value of $900.00.
