Item Description
27x40.25" paper poster ©1914 Joseph B. Hallworth. The National Ptg. & Eng. mark at lower right. Poster is beautifully illustrated w/rich color and shows "Kar-Mi" who "Swallows A Loaded Gun Barrel And Shoots A Cracker From A Man's Head." Scene is depicted as stated on poster's promotional text. Kar-Mi, clad in a turban and robes kneels w/the barrel of a gun sticking out of his mouth. The gun is firing towards blindfolded turban-wearing man and female assistant w/exposed breast gestures. The immense turban-clad audience watches in awe, all w/their mouths agape, one of them wildly gesturing in disbelief. Poster has some very minor margin wear and aging and is VF, but could be framed for a NM display.
