Item Description
This is the only Harrison piece from 1836, listed by DeWitt/Sullivan as WHH1836-1. 30 mm (1.25") holed as made. Obverse has military bust of Harrison with his name around. Reverse female figure representing Liberty depicts her crowning captured British and Indian arms with a wreath. Reads "Resolution of Congress April 4, 1818/Battle of Thames/Oct. 5, 1813." Light smoothing of fine details. All remains clear with easily seen text. This is not the white metal version. It is the silver version. Rare.
