Item Description
10.5x15-7/8" thin artboard featuring original pen and ink w/Zip-A-Tone accented art by popular comic book artist Bill Sienkiewicz for "Moon Knight" issue #20 published by Marvel Comics in June, 1982. Issue was written by Doug Moench w/interior art by Sienkiewicz. Sienkiewicz is an Eisner Award-winning comic book artist/writer best known for his comic book work, primarily for Marvel Comics' "The New Mutants" and the "Elektra: Assassin" miniseries. Sienkiewicz often utilizes oil painting, collage, mimeograph and other forms generally uncommon in comic books. Art shows the hero Moon Knight in five panels, partial views of the villain Arsenal in two panels and shows Arsenal commanding two bikini-clad women to attack Moon Knight, which they do, both kicking him in the head at the same time. Artboard has had three corners clipped, likely done in-house at Marvel and has slight trim along top margin. Art has some scattered editorial notations in pencil at margins and lower margin has some tiny age spotting. VF.
