Item Description
5.5x7.25x1.25" deep box contains complete contents. c. 1966. Koide Shinkosha. Karuta game produced exclusively for the Japanese market. Karuta is a Japanese card game, the basic idea is to be able to quickly determine which card out of an array of cards is required and then to grab the card before it is grabbed by an opponent. Box lid has great illustration of TV Batman and Robin doing the "Batusi" in the Batmobile. Lt. edge wear on box lid, tight. VF. Half of the cards have illustrations of Batman characters including Penguin and Riddler and devices like the Batmobile and other cards have matching text. We assume game play was to match descriptive text to what Batman/Robin/supporting characters were doing on opposite card though text is in Japanese. Top cards have lt. aging, but are unused, Mint. Scarce.
