Item Description
The shortest pen is 5" long and the longest pencil is 7-5/8" long. Vast majority of items range from the 1930s into the 1960s. There are just a couple of pencils or pens that may be just a bit newer. Top to bottom we start out with ten pencils and these are: "The Milwaukee Road" (unused); "The Pullman Company" (unused); "Dixie Flyer Route" (used); "B.&O.R.R." (unused); "Wabash Railroad" (unused and extra thick); Three identical for "New York Central Lines General Office" (unused); "New York Central System General Office" (black/used); "Wabash Railroad Company" (used). Now we begin the pens and pencils. They start with "Auto-Train" pen, "Illinois Railroad Museum" floater pen, "Brotherhood of Railroad Trainmen Life Insurance" pencil, "Wabash Safety Award 1949" but very worn hard to read text pencil, "Union Pacific" pencil with floating bubble in amber end piece, "Burlington Northern" pen, "Rock Island Lines" pens (two identical), "Rock Island Lines" in brass and two identical pens, "Rock Island Lines" in black and silver pen, "Pullman-Standard Car Mfg. Co. Safety Award" pencil in beautiful green catalin plastic. Vast majority are Exc. The pens have dried out ink. A nice instant collection.
