Item Description
1" with tiny rim hole as issued. Each side has name and date. Luster on the Lincoln side is N. Mint and luster on the Hamlin side is Exc. with just the slightest bit of tarnish. The Lincoln ferro is what DeWitt calls portrait #1 and it is close to perfect. Upper left bkg. has near microscopic pinpoint dot on the emulsion surface but no color loss. Viewed extremely closely and hardly showing without magnification is a tiny 1/8" hairline of emulsion missing along the extreme bottom edge. Again, this is all but invisible without magnification and the overall appearance of the image is outstanding. On the Hamlin side there is a pinpoint emulsion dot about 1/32" in dia. off his lower cheek. This shows only in certain angles of light. Exc.
