Auction 189 - Part II Item numbers 1011 though 2527 in auction 189. |
From 1933. Box is version with all-over character images of Mickey, Minnie, Clarabelle and Horace. Inside of lid notes "Price $1.00 Complete With Fob." Complete with separate two-piece insert as well as guarantee paper. Slightest trace of box wear but exceptionally bright and clean, Exc./NM. Pocket watch is 2" dia. and earlier version with longer stem. Back of case features incised image of Mickey. Few tiny dots of black color off Mickey's arms only noticeable when viewed closely. Dial remains totally bright and clean, case has full bright silver luster. Running and NM. Comes with 1.25" dia. metal fob with leather strap. The fob is the only piece that realy shows wear. Black color accent on Mickey has been added. Metal surface shows aging as does the strap. Fine. Upgrading the fob would make this as nice a set as possible. Still a truly exceptional example of this classic character timepiece. From the Russell Brown Sr. collection. (L - $2000 to $5000)
