Item Description
5.5x7.75" artboard has image area in lead pencil and watercolor. Wonderful scene of a shocked Snow White lifting one of the Dwarfs shoes out of a stew pot. This was from sequence where she begins to clean the Dwarfs' cottage. She is surrounded by a number of forest animals including squirrels, chipmunks and bluebirds, all of whom look just as shocked as her. Of special note, bluebirds rest on handle of pick-axe driven into table's surface. c. 1936. Lower right corner has .75" crease/surface break w/archival tape repair/reinforcement on reverse. Pinholes along margin, which shows some lt. wear. Art itself remains clean and Exc. Would look great framed. Any fully finished Snow White color art such as this is exceedingly rare. Superb design and detail.
