Item Description
Original 8x10" glossy w/team in uniforms and posed on a ball field. Players include Jasper Washington and Mo Harris. The Homestead Grays club is, perhaps, black baseball's most storied franchise. Formed in 1912 by Cumberland Posey, the Grays would be in continuous operation for 38 seasons. They won the Negro League World Series three times. Photos has obvious wear and aging. Small piece missing from top left corner and right margin has very slight trim and .25" strip of clear tape. 1" piece of clear tape at top center. All over scattered creases as well as a few staple/pin holes but none affecting the image. Image remains sharp and distinct. Just Good but a rare photo for this historic franchise. Richard Merkin Collection and comes with Hake's COA.
