Item Description
22.25x30.75" frame contains pen and ink original art for Aug. 24, 1947 Sunday page w/art by George Wunder, who took over art duties from "Terry And The Pirates" creator Milton Caniff that year. Sunday page features 10 panels (including title panel which features title paste-over as well as original art). As is typical w/Sunday pages of this era, panels have been clipped and reassembled on large artboard. Art features Ermine held captive by morbidly obese villain Master Bor. Ermine tries to escape, only to be recaptured right before Terry Lee, Pat Ryan and Hotshot Charlie show up in Jeep in last panel. First panel has News Syndicate Inc. copyright strip paste-over as well as title paste-over, which shows heavy aging. Eighth and ninth panels have some scattered age smudges but rest of art is VF/Exc. Ready for display as professionally matted and framed. Great art featuring lots of expression w/three main characters in last panel.
