Item Description
21-7/8x27-7/8" wood frame w/Plexiglas over archival mat reveals 14.5x21" mixed media image titled "PG-13" at bottom right. This art was for a proposed poster commenting on the advent of the PG-13 film rating. c. 1984. Art features boy and girl (w/cowering dog) looking up at pastiche of four films that helped usher in the new PG-13 rating - "Indiana Jones And the Temple Of Doom" (w/Harrison Ford), Red Dawn (w/Soviet tank), "Gremlins" (including one Gremlin wearing Santa Claus hat) and Kelly LeBrock at center as the titular character from "The Woman In Red." Art has been signed in ink by Davis at lower right and comes w/4x6" color photo of the artist in his studio holding this original. Exc. Framed and ready for display. Wonderful imagery.
