Item Description
27x41" original release one-sheet for 1943 Columbia serial that starred Lewis Wilson as Batman and Douglas Croft as Robin. For Chapter 4, "Slaves Of The Rising Sun." Poster features choice artwork plus inset film scene, featuring great image of Batman and Robin at desk in the Batcave. Small "Copyright, Detective Comics, Inc., 1943" text below this image. Originally folded, poster has had very minimal professional restoration along fold lines and at fold crease intersections. Aside from last letter of "Batman" at top (which has some scattered dust soiling), all restoration blends very well and are only noticeable upon close inspection. Scattered dust soiling to margins. As linen-mounted, poster now displays VF overall. Easily the rarest and most desirable of posters from this classic serial, as it features a truly classic image of the Dynamic Duo. We have not seen this example offered for sale in some time.
