Item Description
From 1949 Fo-Lee Gum Corp., Philadelphia. 1-5/8" tall die-cut shield badge with classic enamel paint image of Superman shown waist up breaking chest chains with his name in text at bottom coming out of circular border with enamel paint stars surrounded by brass luster burst design. Badge is highly lustrous with only a few tiny scratches in angled light and very possibly as made. Another version has tabs on back to hold into the Superman premium wallet from Fo-Lee in 1949. Hake Guide (2008) badge values are Good $1,650, Fine $3,750, NM $7,500. This is indeed NM, gorgeous and rare.
