Item Description
"Sea Scouts" originally appeared in the July, 1939 issue of "Good Housekeeping" magazine. Walt Disney, in arrangement w/Good Housekeeping, produced one-page adaptations from 1934-1944 to promote their animated shorts. This is detailed in the book "Walt Disney's Mickey And The Gang - Classic Stories In Verse" by Gemstone Publishing. Offered here is 7x8.75" artboard panel, featuring the beautiful, fully-painted art by Disney artist Hank Porter for the second image from the Good Housekeeping adaptation where Donald Duck, wearing his Navy uniform, sails away from the dock, leaving his crying Nephews behind. Art has some scattered dust soiling and small 1/8" spot of staining about 1" off back of boat at lower right. Art was glued to foamcore (separate but included) and as such, back has glue staining, none of which is visible on front. Art displays VF and would look fantastic framed.
