Item Description
7.5x19.5" craft tint artboard has three panel original art for strip #8139 from Jan. 18, 1964. Last panel has National Periodical Publications, Inc. copyright strip (though this has some inking/heavy aging). Art by Wayne Boring, a comic book artist best known for his work on Superman from the late 1940s to the 1960s. Lois Lane is featured in all three panels w/Superman's alter ego Clark Kent, Jimmy Olsen and Perry White in two w/her. Lois appears confused as the three men w/her appeared to have died, though in fact their deaths were faked. Boring has signed at lower right. Artboard has some lt. handling wear w/4x4" area of scattered red bleeding at left and along left margin. This doesn't intrude greatly upon art (mainly margins) and could be mostly matted out. Fine overall, but art still displays VF.
