Item Description
5.75" tall painted and jointed jigsawed wooden toy w/painted composition head/collar. Unmarked, but made c. early 1900s. Back of head has small metal loop for hanging figure, which is jointed at shoulders and hips, allowing character to have dancing appearance. Body has some crazing to paint but paint is complete. Head/collar have some scattered nicks, mainly to hair points w/some tiny flakes off hair and collar. Body is VF while head has some dust soiling and is Fine overall. Rare and first we've seen in our 48 years. From the Maurice Sendak Collection and comes with COA.
