Item Description
Lot of four includes bw stats that have been hand-colored by renowned EC Comics colorist Marie Severin to help the production staff w/color separations for these issues of "The Amazing Spider-Man" in the late 1960s. 6.75x10.25" cover color guide for issue #68 (published by Marvel Comics in Jan. 1969) has title/publisher mark paste-over that has some streaks of glue residue at right and some white correctional fluid touch-ups below "Crisis On Campus" sub-title. Fine/VF w/bright, vivid colors. Next are three 6.75x9.5" bw stats for first pages of issues #46 ("The Sinister Shocker"), #49 ("From The Depths Of Defeat") and #65 ("The Impossible Escape"). Various scattered production notations across stats, but all have been nicely hand-colored and display Exc. overall. These 1960s color guides are scarce as there was no real reason to preserve them and many were thrown out after the issue saw print. From the Robert M. Overstreet Collection and comes with COA.
