Item Description
3.5x5-3/8" Stevengraph "Woven In Silk" postcard w/1.5x3-3/8" insert of woven silk depicting the ill-fated ocean liner "R.M.S. Titanic" cruising the sea. This item was issued in 1911-1912 prior to the ship's tragic demise on April 15, 1912. These postcards were made available for purchase along w/other souvenir items in Titanic's barbershop. Three such postcards were known to have been mailed from Titanic when she docked in Queenstown, Ireland to offload mail and pick up more passengers. This is an unused example and shows only lt. wear w/upper left corner crease and lt. even aging. Fine/VF. Easily among the rarest of all Titanic postcards. See Titanic ribbon & Strauss memorial button pair item #672.
