Auction #208 - Part II Item numbers 1278 through 3040 in auction 208. |
Sanrio 1985. See item #2556 for more details on the series. The prototype figure in this lot is "Hammerhead" based on a hammerhead shark. There is a complete figure made of resin. He has separate armored guards on his shins, a triangular chest piece with one lower strap missing. On this figure his legs are attached to each other but are not attached to the figure and there is a chip out at bottom of trunk area. He also comes with an extra head cast with a blemish on chin. Items will display Exc. Also included is a bw copy of the original concept color artwork with a few hand written notations on back. Sheet folded, taped with a clipped corner and has lt. crease from folding. Fine. Great attention to detail as he also has hammers for hands. This item is truly unique and one of a kind, anything that could be called a defect is from the creative process of action figure design as it was in the 80s. From the archives of Toy Designer Rich Roland. (H - $200 to $400)
