Auction #208 - Part II Item numbers 1278 through 3040 in auction 208. |
Sanrio 1985. See item #2556 for more details on the series. The prototype figures in this lot are "Pirahna" based on a pirahna fish. There is a complete figure made of resin. On this figure his legs are attached to each other and to figure but figure doesn't stand on its own. First figure also has a jaw that protrudes out and back. Next is a second complete resin figure that is more of a static figure that stands on his own with fixed legs and mouth included. There are three child size ring bases included (two of which are chrome plated). Items will display Exc. Also included is a color copy of the original concept color artwork with a few handwritten notations and showing a samurai sword type weapon. Sheet is folded and has creases as a result. Fine. This item is truly unique and one of a kind, anything that could be called a defect is from the creative process of action figure design as it was in the 80s. From the archives of Toy Designer Rich Roland. (I - $400 to $700)
