Item Description
26.5x29.5" neon tube display reads "I Love Lucy," w/"I Love" in blue neon and "Lucy" in pink. Display originally hung in the Desilu Studio commissary during the time the show was in production. Desilu Productions was co-owned by Desi Arnaz and Lucille Ball, and is best known for its hit productions "I Love Lucy, Star Trek," and "The Untouchables." The couple jointly owned Desilu Productions from its inception in 1950 until their divorce in 1960, after which Ball bought Arnaz out and ran the company by herself for several years. She eventually sold the company in 1967 to Gulf Western; after the sale, it was renamed Paramount Television. Display consists of the neon light tubes only and would need some sort of mounting for display. Comes w/original metal transformer/switch unit. Works. Scattered aging/dust soiling but still displays VF.
