Item Description
Each is lead pencil on 9.5x12” sheet of animation paper for cartoon directed by Bert Gillett released August 18, 1931. Each has 7/8” tall image of Minnie from early portion of cartoon where she comes on stage after Mickey’s piano concert to join him in a singing duet. Unlike the finished cartoon, Minnie is not wearing her flower pot hat in these drawings. Sheets have sequence numbers at lower right. Includes: 65,86,87,90,91,94. All sheets have paper clip impression at top w/some oxidation marks, first sheet has rippling w/moisture marks at bottom and narrow 1.25” diagonal tear at right edge. All image areas are Exc. Despite small sizes all images are tight, well drawn, and expressive. Nice early group.
