Item Description
A Fine example of this ring in Auction #206, led to this consigned 98% Mint example plus the club manual. The ring is a Cream Of Wheat premium from 1936. Within the club literature it is known as the "Repeller Ray Ring" and as the "Supreme Inner Circle Ring." Side panels have tiny star accent and text "Buck Roger Solar Scouts." Ring top depicts Buck in his rocket ship with raised arm holding a rocket pistol. He is surrounded by four star accents and on the right is a partial image of a cratered moon with four burst lines extending from it. At the center of the rocket ship is a beautiful emerald green faceted stone. The only luster loss on this ring is near microscopic. There are a couple of specks of luster off the upper circular rim and similar on one side band. We put the condition at 98% of Gem Mint. Among the very best we've offered. With the ring comes the 1936 club manual with its mailer. Mailer has light tanning and a few small edge tears plus 2" tear on the back. It is rarely seen. The manual itself is 5"x7.5" and with 20 pages. Manual interior has outstanding illustrations of 18 different club premiums including this ring. The only thing missing from the center are a pair of orange pages that had forms to fill out to recruit new members. Manual cover has very minor traces of age plus a 3" hairline split on the lower spine edge. Condition is clean and Fine. Examples of this ring in this high grade condition typically exceed $2,000.00.
