Tin litho w/overall size of 8.5x9x5" dia. of the roller. By Happynak, English company known for their Disney sandpails. 1930s. Complete w/attached 20.5" long wooden rod, likely a replacement. Text on roller reads "By Permission Walt Disney - Mickey Mouse, Ltd. 'Happynak' Series - Made In Gt. Britain." Top piece has matching pair of Mickey portraits plus "Mickey Mouse Garden Roller" text. The roller features great full figure gardening activity-related images of Mickey, Minnie and Donald Duck who is depicted wearing a farmer's hat and holding a broom. Other images include Mickey's nephews on a homemade see-saw, nephew pointing at a large snail and frog wearing top hat and smoking a pipe. One side has cap in place marked "Fill With Sand." Has overall obvious and extensive paint wear w/oxidation and aging but all images remain quite distinct and certainly still displayable. Good. Rare, and only the second we've seen in our 46 years.
