Item Description
This rare button is 7/8" inscribed "'Oswald' The Lucky Rabbit." Button was used to promote cartoons Disney was producing for Universal Pictures and the button is pictured as an available promotional give-away in their ad in the August 1927 issue of Universal Weekly, a movie industry trade journal. Our Mint example in 2001, offered over a decade ago realized $3500.00. We had one after that with a crack that exceeded $800.00. This example is gem Mint with virtually no surface wear, perfect centering and full gloss. While known to be made by Phila. Badge Co., like the previous two, it does not have a backpaper. Rare and the best possible condition.
