Mickey stands 3" tall, total height to top of umbrella is 4.5" tall. c. 1932. Mickey's name appears on right side of his body, copyright is on left, underside of umbrella is marked "Germany." From an exceptional series of Mickey and Minnie metal figures, some of which were designed as useful objects such as ashtrays. This stand-alone figure is version which holds an umbrella in his left hand. The umbrella's handle/shaft has a few bends which appear to be as produced so that the umbrella is over his head. Mickey wears yellow shorts w/red buttons. All-over moderate aging as well as scattered traces of paint wear in the form of small chips and flakes, most prevalent on right hand. Complete w/wire tail. Fine. A great, high quality figure. All pieces in this series are scarce.
