Item Description
Complete basic set of 12 pcs., measuring between 1" and 4.5" tall. Made by GEM Clay Forming Company for distribution by both sponsors of the Tarzan radio show and others. 1932. Basic Fould's set of 10 (see paperwork #2309) includes Tarzan w/Cheeta (this is first version w/o name on base), Kala holding baby Tarzan, Jane Porter, Numa the Lion, Sheeta the Panther, Witch Doctor, Pirate w/treasure chest, Lt. D'Arnot, Cannibal Warrior and monkey trio (which were counted as a single item). As intended, statues have been painted by original owner and are very nicely done and detailed. Lt. D'Arnot has .25x.5" piece missing from side of leg and is Good/VG. Rest have scattered dust soiling and even aging. Fine overall. Scarce to find as a set.
