Item Description
Pair of oversized 10.25x13.5" original photos on heavy paper depicting Monroe in her role as the Blue Dragon cafe singer, Chérie, a talentless but ambitious performer from the Ozarks w/dreams of becoming a star. Both show her in a burlesque-like costume singing her rendition of "That Old Black Magic." Directed by Joshua Logan for 20th Century Fox, "Bus Stop" starred Marilyn Monroe, Don Murray, Arthur O'Connell, Betty Field, Eileen Heckart, Robert Bray and Hope Lange and was released on August 31, 1956. Back of each is marked "Positively Not For Reproduction" and has "Arthur Zinn" photography stamp. Photos have obvious handling wear, w/creases at margins and corner foxing. VG overall, but could be matted for a VF appearance. Obtained directly from Marilyn at same time as the autographed photo offered as item #1477.
