Item Description
Four-piece 1920s set, consisting of 16" long engine marked "The Ives Railway Lines - 3243 N.Y.C. & H.R." on both sides; 17" long "Buffet" car, again w/Ives Railway markings on each side and additional "187-1" notation; 17" long "Parlor Car," again w/Ives Railway markings on each side and additional "188-3" notation; and 17" long "Observation" car, again w/Ives Railway markings on each side and additional "189-3" notation and observation deck at back. All are painted tin w/plated accessories. Engine has a cast iron frame w/articulated pilot trucks at front and back. Cars have different configurations of widows, most of which have their original celluloid inserts intact. Car windows have painted accent shades and cars have opening sliding doors. Engine ran when still in possession of consignor, but we have not tested functionality. Set has scattered wear in the form of small paint flakes/scratches and would benefit from a cleaning. VG overall.
