Item Description
First is 2" with backpaper by Allentown firm of Schlechter. Shows three horses pulling fire wagon. Issued for visit by the Rex Company to Allentown Company in 1909. Next is 1.75" button and tabbed on brass rope frame. Backpaper by Baltimore Badge. This one was issued for "Dedication Of Royal Engine House No. 6/Oct. 29, 1904, York Pa." A beautiful real photo sepia badge. Next is 6" tall ornate ribbon with brass hanger bar and accent lantern which has its pink colored shade complete on the front although a substantial piece off the reverse. Celluloid button at center reads "Vigilant S. and C.F.E. Co. 1. York, Pa." All but the lantern shade are Mint. From the early 1900s. Last is 5" tall silvered metal badge showing "Old Court House York, Penna 1777." Rim is dated for 1912 and links suspend five celluloid segments listing cities that were visited during conventions. Everything is NM to Mint except the lantern shade.
