Item Description
Giant 6" dia. domed real photo button. Concave reverse is covered in tin with no type of fastener nor any type of slots for an easel. There is an old adhesive tape strip on the back with inked lettering which we translate as best we can as "Me + Nurse Florence Cabe/Lived With Us As Cook." Photo without dot pattern shows photographer studio setting with child in rustic chair and older young woman standing next to him and holding his one hand. Couple long but extremely minor light surface scratches show only in reflected light. The piece displays totally clean and Mint. The only photographic button of this nature that we've seen and from the early 1900s with small stamp on the tin back "Columbia Portrait Co., Chicago."
