c. early 1940s. Made in England. 5.5x15x3.25” deep box has lid graphics of ships under attack including destroyer flying Swastika flag on fire. Lid has dust soil and edge wear. Fine. Contains instruction sheet, game board, wooden ship parts, chalk container to mark torpedo hits on ship, three tiny metal markers. Torpedo firing mechanism trigger has a small metal piece missing, string replacement works. Trace of lt. wear, contents overall VF. Object of game is to “Shoot Your Way To Victory Safely Through The Mine And Submarine Infested Waters”. Players fire at “Pocket Battleship” to get points and move their ship forward. Winning score is exactly 100. Elaborately designed.
