Item Description
c. early 1940s. © James McGowan Associates NYC. 13.25x16.5x3.25” deep cardboard carrying case w/metal handle has Civil Defense symbols on lid. Case has moisture marks and edge wear. Just Good. Inside lid has “Pledge To The Flag” text. Insert holds pressed felt helmet, “Junior Air Raid Warden” cloth arm band, textured cardboard “Play Gas Mask”, boxed cotton, boxed bandage, “First Aid Play Kit”, paperwork sheets. Candy pill box has moisture marks. VG. Rest is Fine/VF. Elaborate design to get kids involved in the war effort.
