c. early 1940s. 4x11.75x1.5” deep box has lid graphics of German submarine underwater w/Swastika blasting ship flying British flag. Lid text translates to “U-Boat Torpedoed Cruiser”. Lid has lt. dust soil and a few minor color rubs w/1” puncture at lower right. Fine. Contains full complement of wooden parts w/metal pieces and instruction sheet w/German text. Sheet has age tanning and creases. VG. Parts are VF/Exc. Design is similar to sets made by American and British (see previous item #1226) companies, but this one shows WWII from the other side.
