Item Description
6.75" long front-loading revolver by Moore's Patent Firearms Company/National Arms Company of Brooklyn, NY. This company made these 32 caliber teat-fire guns c. 1864-1870. 3.25" barrel. Six-shot. Brass frame w/silver-plated finish. Barrel and cylinder blued. Walnut grips w/bird's head butt. This is version w/o hook extractor and "Moores Pat Fire Arms Co. Brooklyn NY." barrel marking. Cylinder marked "D. Williamson's Patent - Jan. 5, 1864," referencing the special cartridge designed by Daniel Moore and David Williamson. Small hinged swivel gate on right side of barrel lug ahead of cylinder. An estimated 20,000 of these guns were made, this example has "13376" serial number on underside of barrel. Moderate luster loss and slight wear to grips. Fine. This gun was lost to John Barrymore in a wager with Flynn per LOA from Barrymore's last wife, Elaine Barrie Barrymore. Comes with Hake's COA and R&R Enterprises COA as well.
