Item Description
11.5x28x5.75" deep box contains complete parts for ©1965 Transogram Company, Inc. game #3905. Glow-in-the-dark plastic gameboard features Haunted House, Gnarled Tree and Shipwreck standing scenery. Gameboard is elevated on six posts and underneath are three boxes, covered by locked trapdoors. These contain plastic bones (plastic rods), "Bat Feathers" or rubber snakes (rubber strips), plus 12 figural plastic "Ghost Kids" (one of which is "Kelly", the Green Ghost's child). Large three-dimensional Green Ghost spinner. Plastic vulture, rat, cat, and bat player pieces. Players use the four included trapdoor keys to collect "Ghost Kids" and when all twelve have been retrieved, they are placed on the Green Ghost spinner. The Green Ghost is spun, pointing to the little ghost it identifies as Kelly. Whoever found the one pointed to wins the game. Television commercials for the game encouraged players to play it in the dark. Box has some scattered moisture staining and lt. general wear/aging. Fine overall. Comes w/instruction booklet which shows wear and is Fine. Gameboard has some glue staining to trapdoors by locks as produced and Green Ghost spinner has some scattered glue staining, but all other parts are Exc. overall. Gameboard still glows. One of the best 1960s games and scarce as 100% complete.
