Item Description
16x22x30.75" tall wooden folding chair from the Philadelphia Arena, a former Philadelphia, PA. sports venue that featured many wrestling and boxing matches. Chair was made by the Palmer/Snyder Furniture Co. of Conneautville, PA. Ostensibly very much like the chairs used by professional wrestlers to hit their opponents, the underside of this chair's seat has been boldly signed in black marker by Killer Kowalski. His signature measures 7.5" wide. Kowalski wrestled for numerous promotions during his lengthy career, including the NWA and WWF, and was a known "heel" wrestler. He held numerous championships including the WWWF World Tag Team Championship w/Big John Studd (billed as The Executioners, managed by Lou Albano). After retiring in 1977, Kowalski started a professional wrestling school in Malden, MA. and trained many recent/current professional wrestlers. Chair shows scattered wear from use and is complete w/chewed gum on underside edge. Fine. Signature remains bold and distinct, displaying Exc. Comes with Hake's COA and JSA LOA.
