Item Description
Original 20x30" paper poster for April 4, 1970 concert that took place in Portsmouth, UK. Concert featured Pitney, Badfinger, Satisfaction, Johnny Hackett and Clodagh Rodgers. Poster features photo of Pitney at top left. Although Pitney's popularity in the US had declined in the mid-1960s, he was still a major star in Great Britain when he headlined a month-long tour w/opening act Badfinger, whose Apple Records single, the Paul McCartney-penned "Come and Get It," was peaking at #4 on the Melody Maker magazine singles chart. This was Badfinger's first nationwide tour since they had abandoned their original name, The Iveys, and added newest member Joey Molland. Scattered handling wear w/corner tip creases. Clean and VF.
