Item Description
Large and heavy-duty 29.25x42.25" frame contains limited edition giclee print on canvas that has been professionally matted to 18.5x31.25". Part of a limited edition of just 300 produced, this has been hand-numbered 171/300 and hand-signed by Slick in silver paint pen at lower tight. The print is of a painting by Slick, who is best known as one of the lead singers of rock groups The Great Society, Jefferson Airplane, Jefferson Starship, and Starship. Slick was an important figure in the 1960s psychedelic rock movement, known for her witty lyrics and powerful vocals. It was she who provided vocals on Jefferson Airplane's "White Rabbit," which ties in nicely as print features Slick's take on Wonderland, showing Alice peering around tree as John Lennon and Paul McCartney (as Tweedle Dee and Tweedle Dum) peek around other side, Timothy Leary as the Mad Hatter, the astral form of the Maharishi Mahesh Yogi smoking hookah as the Caterpillar while the White Rabbit flees at center. Print has all over hairline crazing to surface, but this does not detract greatly and piece displays VF. Great psychedelic imagery and a nice homage to one of her most famous songs. Comes with Hake's COA.
