Item Description
Lot of five, each is 7.25x10.25" hardcover w/original dust jacket and 98-192 pages. Books are part of a series of limited editions begun in 1974 by Donald Grant (1927-2009), who was involved in the founding of several science fiction and fantasy small press publishers ranging from Grant-Hadley Enterprises in 1945 to the Buffalo Book Company in 1946, Grandon Publishers in 1949 and Centaur Press in 1970. He is best remembered for his own publishing company which he began in 1964. Only about 3,000 copies of each were printed and these books each have two stories by Robert E. Howard including Conan. Titles include - "The Devil In Iron" (1976) illustrated by Dan Green, "Rogues In The House" (1976) illustrated by Marcus Boas, "Queen Of The Black Coast" (1978) illustrated by Michael Hague, "Jewels Of Gwahlur" (1979) illustrated by Dean Morrissey and "Black Colossus" (1979) illustrated by Ned Dameron. Includes b/w and color plates, including some tipped in. Exc./NM and don't appear to have been read. Superb high quality w/wonderful illustrations.
