Item Description
"The Comrade" was the major publication of the American Socialist Party. Nov., 1903 issue measures 9.25x12" w/48 pages of Socialist-themed articles, ads, several cartoons and photos. Includes two-page article by Debs on fellow Socialist Myron Reed and article by John Spargo on Morris Hillquit. Full page cartoon titled "A Study In Kings" features Carnegie, Morgan, Rockefeller and Vanderbilt. Very minor wear w/pinch creases to spine. Fine. Unused 3.5x5.5" Socialist Party postcard from early 1900s is titled "Pyramid Of The Capitalist System." On bottom level workers w/red flag support the system w/captions "We Work For All" And "We Feed All." At top captioned "Capitalism" is money bag and trio of men w/caption "We Are Ruling You." Handling wear w/some creases and dust soiling. Fine.
