Item Description
9.25x10.5x4" deep bronzed white metal. Front text reads "Roosevelt - Gen. H.S. Johnson - Miss F. Perkins - The Spirit Of The U.S.A." Plug-in cord (no on/off switch) activates two amber-colored light bulbs. One version of this comes w/clock at center (see following item #69) but here the center is cast metal w/gears and tools symbolizing economic recovery. Nice bust of FDR at top center w/smaller relief portraits of Hugh S. Johnson, who helped plan the New Deal and was appointed head of the National Recovery Administration (NRA) in 1933 as well as FDR's Secretary of Labor Frances C. Perkins. Reverse is marked "Pat Pending." Scattered loss of bronze luster, but 85% remains. No covering under base. Fine. A rare variety.
