c. 1945. Complete set of six issued as mail away premium. Listed in the American Card Catalog as F273-12. Each is 5-3/8x7-7/8” punch-out cardboard frame design with assembly instructions as intended but never assembled. Reverse of each is titled “History- Making U.S. Planes Of World War II” w/ description and silhouette image of plane. Includes: B-26 Marauder, F6F Hellcat. F4U Corsair and P-47 Thunderbolt each have .25” piece cut off bottom center frame edge. P-39 Airacobra has paper tape residue on top and bottom of back, but set is otherwise clean and VF. Superb war action scenes.
