Item Description
Lot of seven items, w/five bottles, one 2.5x3-3/8x1-1/8" deep wooden box w/sliding lid and 5-7/8x7-7/8" embossed tin litho curved sign in Spanish w/wonderful skull and crossbones graphics that translates to "Do Not Touch - Dangerous." Shows lt. wear. Fine. Wooden box has two paper skull and crossbones labels that read "Poison! Caution." Box contains an additional nine of these labels. Scattered aging/dust soiling. Fine w/VF contents. Bottles include one cobalt blue and four amber ranging in height from 2.75" to 4-7/8" tall. Three include original corks, one cork (blue bottle) has additional pharmacy label on top. Blue bottle has raised "Poison" text on two of three sides and is complete w/label, listing "Triloids - Bichloride Tablets" as contents. Label has skull and crossbones graphic. Moderate moisture staining at edges. VG. Three of the amber bottles have raised "Poison" text one two sides of bottle, smallest has most of label, though is is stained and nearly illegible. "Dispensary Tablets - Copper Arsenite" and "Poison" can be made out. Bottle is VF, label is just Fair. Last amber bottle has both cork and partial label, about 75% remaining. What remains shows skull and crossbones graphic and "Diamond Antiseptics White" text. Bottle contains 10 white tablets, each marked w/skull and crossbones image and "Poison" text. Bottle also has raised "Poison" text on one side. VG. Great turn-of-the-20th Century poison grouping.
