Item Description
5.75x7.5" complete display box for "8 Ready To Freeze Pasteurized Pop Bars" by General Foods Kitchens. Box advertises "Captain Action Card Game" premium offer, which was available for three Kool-Pops box tops. Premium was a deck of 33 playing cards w/three instruction cards. Cards featured various characters, including - Captain Action, Captain America, Buck Rogers, Spider-Man, Flash Gordon and The Phantom. Captain America, Spider-Man and Buck Rogers are pictured alongside Captain Action on this box. Issued in 1967. Box is complete and assembled as issued and has been recently shrinkwrapped w/correct type/amount of popsicles added so it looks as it did when first placed on a store shelf. Box does have some wear/aging w/creases and dust soiling. Left side panel is moderately aged/stained. VG/Fine but still very displayable. A true rarity for Captain Action collectors as well as Marvel Comics and Buck Rogers enthusiasts and by sheer coincidence the only other example of this item we have ever offered was just in our last auction (in lesser condition) and sold for $1,282.
